THE day has arrived

Me holding STRUCK, my first novel published. I was unwashed, unshaven, and tired and sweaty from having just finished a run, but that's the moment the books arrived and the moment I wanted to capture. Glad I did.

I still have to wait until July 10th before copies go on sale, but at least now I have something to hold on to until then.

  1. Preserve the OMG moment by framing the book in a shadowbox frame.

  2. Ooh, good idea. Thanks, Jill. I'm glad I took that picture when I did. I was unwashed, unshaven for days, and tired and sweaty from a run when the books unexpectedly arrived. But it was THE moment, and so I captured it.

I'm going to carry a book around for a while, since it won't seem to leave my clutches. Then maybe I will shadowbox it for posterity.

The physical reality of my first published book will never happen again.

  3. Savour the heady feeling; you've earned the right to it. Congratulations!

  4. Thanks, Careann. Sure feels nice.

  5. Woohoo!!!! It looks beautiful and so do you - unwahed, unshaved, the whole bit. What a GREAT accomplishment.

  6. Thanks, Judy. And what fun it was to hold up a copy at the SWW meeting.

  7. Congrats Keith! Am still immersed in my journey with my Dad here in Las Cruces, but had a moment to catch up on the recent SWW issues of Sage. First ones I've read in a long while. Glad I didn't miss out on your success. Very cool.

Just finished reading the preview for Struck. Nuts. Much to my horror you've got me, Ms. Hallmark screenwriter, wanting to follow the rest of Barry and company through the storm.

    Congrats again!
